What is ActiveLock?

ActiveLock is a free ActiveX control that can be used to protect your VB programs from piracy and sell your programs online. Using ActiveLock you can add registration features to your softwares, create trialware and raise your sales.

 

What's the price of ActiveLock?

ActiveLock is free. It is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

 

Why is it free?

The short answer is: we want everyone to use our product. Please use our software, and please pass copies to everyone you know so that they can use it as well.

 

Okay... what's the catch?

There' s no catch. You don't have to make any compromises. You are not obligated, morally, legally or otherwise, to pay for using ActiveLock, ever.

 

Can I help with ActiveLock development?

Yes! Just send an (empty) e-mail to activelock-subscribe@yahoogroups.com -- This is the ActiveLock development list. You'll be able to unsubscribe at any time.

 

Can I make a financial contribution?

Yes, If you are using ActiveLock to sell a commercial product, you can make a financial contribution. It is optional, but will help us to develop other free products and services.

Is there an ActiveLock tutorial?

Is it possible to use ActiveLock with other programming languages?

Yes! You can use ActiveLock with any language that supports ActiveX controls. If you are a Delphi developer, check this great ActiveLock tutorial by Rodrigo C. Souza. If you are planning to protect Excel or Word documents, take a look on this sample spreadsheet by Victor McClean. IMPORTANT: Make sure that you download and install the latest version of the VB runtime modules before you start using ActiveLock.
